Looking back at Eco Day 2024

Eco Day 2024 is over, and what a day it was! On the theme of sustainability, innovation and collaboration, we enjoyed fascinating presentations, fascinating demos and delicious catering. This day was all about awareness and the latest techniques and solutions for a more sustainable future. In this post we look back at some of the highlights of the day.

Inspiring presentations

The day began with a number of impressive presentations that opened our eyes to the many opportunities that already exist to contribute to a better planet. One of the speakers emphasized that sustainability is no longer a choice but a necessity. Companies can already make a big difference by making their processes more sustainable and embracing innovative technologies. An important theme raised by several speakers was the importance of collaboration between industries, companies and governments to accelerate sustainable solutions .We got insights into circular economy, energy efficiency and new production techniques that can drastically reduce the carbon footprint.

Interesting conversations

In addition to the presentations, Eco Day was also a wonderful opportunity to engage in conversation with peers, pioneers and companies that have sustainability high on their agenda. During the networking breaks, valuable connections were made and innovative ideas were exchanged. Especially the open atmosphere and the sharing of practical experiences ensured that everyone went home with new knowledge and inspiration.

One conversation that stuck with us was about the importance of small steps: companies do not have to be 100% sustainable right away to make an impact. Implementing small, achievable improvements can already make a big difference in the long run. Think of more energy-efficient equipment, using recycled materials or making packaging more sustainable.

The various demos by partners presenting their latest sustainable products and innovations were also well-attended. Visitors had the chance to see these technologies in action and ask questions of the experts.

Delicious catering

In addition to all the business violence, we were spoiled with delicious, sustainable catering at Eco Day. The organic and locally produced dishes were to everyone's liking. Think freshly prepared poké bowls, vegetable wraps and delicious donuts. The sustainable catering contributed perfectly to the themes of the day: consume consciously and enjoy what nature has to offer without depleting it.

In short, Eco Day 2024 was a day full of inspiration, knowledge exchange and sustainable innovations. We look forward with great enthusiasm to the steps we will take together towards a greener future.
