Mimaki pushes creative boundaries in RDF printing
Mimaki opens the door to new, high-performance applications for industrial printing through the launch of its latest product innovations. The company today unveils four new high-speed, high-performance direct-to-object UV LED inkjet printers - the 190% faster(1) UJF-7151 plusII and the new UJF-MkII e-series, with three advanced, small-format solutions.
Available commercially in December 2021, the four additions to Mimaki´s portfolio take industrial printing to the next level. The printers feature a range of new capabilities that provide significant quality and performance benefits so users can adopt new applications and increase productivity.

UJF-7151 plusII - Combining robust, fast production with outstanding image quality
The UJF-7151 plusII is designed for seamless and reliable high-speed production. The printer is equipped with eight print heads, enabling dual ink configurations in four colors (CMYK). This in turn provides up to 190% faster printing speeds compared to the previous UJF-7151 plus model. The new system also sets new creative boundaries with several features developed to improve image quality, such as MFD2 (half-toning) processing to even better manage dot position. This greater management delivers sharper edges and finer lines, as well as fewer color irregularities.
The six-color configuration of the UJF-7151 plusII includes light cyan and light magenta for accurate color reproduction. It achieves an image resolution of 1800 dpi, providing superior definition for high-end applications. Furthermore, the new printer features the innovative color gloss function. This adds a glossy finish to hardened color inks so users can create new, striking textures and details that make their products stand out without having to use transparent ink.
The load capacity has also been increased to 30 kg so the printer can handle high-quality print jigs. In addition, this is ideal for printing on heavy media such as wood, metal and glass in industrial printing environments.
UJF-MkII e-Series - Three new small format printers that deliver great quality
The brand new range of UJF-MkII e-printers add the UJF-3042MkII e, the UJF-6042MkII e and the UJF-3042MkII Ex e to Mimaki´s extensive portfolio. The three new models offer advanced image quality and stability for printing on a wide range of soft and hard media, including leather, wood, acrylic, metal and glass.
The UJF-3042MkII e and UJF-3042MkII Ex e feature a print area of 300 mm x 420 mm, while the UJF-6042MkII e has a larger print size of 610 mm x 420 mm. All UJF-MkII e-series printers feature new MFD2 processing for exceptional image quality. They also feature an improved spacing control sensor. This laser sensor detects placed media to prevent printheads from contacting the material during printing. The sensor can even detect transparent material for superior accuracy and highly controlled media detection. In addition, the new printers provide improved operator usability thanks to visual cues on the 3.45-inch color screen.
Four new UJF printers with advanced features that improve performance
The new additions to the UJF series printers support all MDL (Mimaki Device Language) commands that automatically transfer workpieces. In this way, users can operate the new UJF printers from external production systems and peripheral devices. This enhanced automation not only increases user control and productivity but also reduces manual intervention for increased efficiency.
The new models also include RasterLink7 as standard RIP software, which supports one-product-at-a-time printing. Numbering and variable data printing has never been easier than with this latest software platform. Users can count on time savings and more efficient production.
All UV inks of the new UJF series are certified by GREENGUARD GOLD, and the new range of printers incorporates Mimaki' s proprietary core technologies, including NCU (Nozzle Check Unit)2, NRS (Nozzle Recovery System)3 and MAPS4 (Mimaki Advanced Pass System4)4 features, which ensure stable, high-quality printing.
