Mimaki launches new UV roll-to-roll printers

UJV100-160Plus and UCJV330-160

Mimaki Europe has announced that they are expanding their product portfolio with two new UV roll-to-roll printers, the UJV100-160Plus and UCJV330-160, as part of their popular 100 and 330 series. These new UV printers offer advanced production advantages and underscore Mimaki's commitment to sustainable print production.

Mimaki has a long history of pioneering UV inkjet printing and has been developing high-quality UV printing solutions since 2004. Based on Mimaki's robust technology platforms, the UJV100-160Plus and UCJV330-160 are designed to meet the diverse needs of customers in different industries and stages of their digital printing processes.

Durability

A notable feature of these new printers is their focus on sustainability. Mimaki's UV technology offers significant advantages for environmentally conscious print production. Thanks to UV LED inks that cure instantly, energy consumption during the printing process is significantly lower than other technologies. This not only reduces the ecological impact of the printer, but also lowers production costs and shortens delivery times.

Arjen Evertse, General Manager Sales at Mimaki Europe, emphasizes the importance of sustainability and the increasing demand for UV technology in the printing industry. He explains that the move to UV printing not only reduces environmental impact, but also contributes to cost savings for print companies, which is crucial at a time when energy prices are rising.

High speed and improved image quality

In addition to their focus on sustainability, the new printers offer impressive performance. The UCJV330-160 delivers high-quality UV-LED roll-to-roll inkjet prints with high speed and improved image quality. It can print at speeds of up to 28m2/h for a four-color configuration or 18m2/h with white and/or clear ink, allowing print service providers to operate more efficiently and offer faster turnaround times to their customers.

In addition, the UCJV330-160 supports various media and substrates, including eco-friendly options, allowing print service providers to be more flexible in their offerings. With the ability to produce 2.5D prints, watermarks and 5-layer prints, they have more options to offer high-quality and differentiated products.

On the other hand, the UJV100-160Plus offers low power consumption, resulting in significant cost savings for print companies. At only 0.5 kW, this printer consumes less than half the power of other printers available on the market. The UJV100-160Plus also includes new features, such as an ink-saving function and a pull-back printing function, giving users more flexibility in offering various applications.

PICT - a cloud-based printer status monitoring tool

Mimaki is also supporting their customers with the introduction of PICT, a cloud-based printer status monitoring tool, which allows customers to track and manage the operational status and performance of their printers from PCs or mobile devices. This improves the efficiency of print operations and production management, allowing print service providers to better manage their ink inventory and schedule maintenance and production more effectively.

All in all, the launch of the UJV100-160Plus and UCJV330-160 mark an important step forward for Mimaki in supporting sustainable print production and providing advanced printing solutions to their customers in various industries.
