Mimaki Europe announces a brand new range of wide-format inkjet printers, the 330 series, including the JV330-160, CJV330-160 and TS330-1600, as well as a new range of CG-AR cutting plotters
Mimaki Europe announces a brand new range of wide-format inkjet printers, the 330 series, including the JV330-160, CJV330-160 and TS330-1600, as well as a new range of CG-AR cutting plotters. Launched during the company's Global Innovation Days event, the 330 series leverages Mimaki's platform-independent strategy to offer a quality yet cost-effective printing solution across various industries. The CG-AR series also offers users new, workflow-enhancing entry-level cutters, available in three sizes. Both launches fit into Mimaki's goal of growing both its range of quality and entry-level products to further encourage and support customers in expanding and improving their printing services and product offerings.
Following the success of the 100 and 300 Plus series, the 330 series was developed to offer mid- to high-end print models with an emphasis on high image quality and productivity. Mimaki is known for its high color gamut. Consequently, the latest printers can produce durable, high-resolution prints for both graphics and textiles.
The eco-solvent inkjet printers, the JV330-160 and CJV330-160, deliver the high color quality required for indoor and outdoor graphics thanks to the new "Deep Color Natural" input profile, which offers striking and vibrant solid colors, natural skin tones and deep reds and neutral grays. With print speeds of 21.0m2/h in standard mode when using 4 colors, this printer is ideal for print jobs that need quick delivery. Built-in cleaning mechanisms and control features ensure an efficient workflow and enable longer run times.
Both models feature a newly designed unwinding system that allows three rolls of paper to be loaded simultaneously. This significantly reduces the time and manpower required to change print paper. An operator can move the desired paper into place by simply rotating the paper changer. Another standard feature is an "XY cutter" - a high-precision cutting technology that allows rolls to be cut in-line in X-axis and Y-axis. This takes unwinding and rough cutting out of the workflow, allowing printers to significantly speed up and streamline post-processing, with less intervention.
The JV330-160 model (printing only) and the CJV330-160 integrated printer and plotter will be available worldwide in April 2022.
In addition to its Sign Graphics solutions, Mimaki has also released the TS330-1600, a sublimation transfer inkjet printer for the textile industry. The TS330-1600 offers both high production and high image quality, and is equipped with new features to improve stable operation. It reaches a print speed of 69m2/h in design mode with a four-color ink set, with the fastest mode going up to 135m2/h. The latest cleaning mechanism uses a cloth wiper that removes unwanted ink from the nozzle surface, reduces ink splatter and improves overall machine maintenance.
The TS330-1600 also has optional enhancements to further increase efficiency, including the "10 kg ink tank feed," which lowers the cost per cc compared to the standard 2-liter ink pack and allows for longer continuous printing. A mini-jumbo roll unit can also be added to load long transfer paper and further reduce operating costs.
An improved rewind system with dual motors on both sides of the printer distributes the load and boosts rewind force, ensuring stable rewinding of printed paper even with large runs. Included with each TS330-1600 is TxLink4, Mimaki's RIP software specifically for the textile market.
All products in the series feature "Mimaki Weaving Dot Technology" (MWDT), a technology that changes the order of ink droplet placement depending on printing conditions. This prevents streaking or uneven printing due to print head or adjustment problems. 'Mimaki Remote Access' (MRA) is also available for the entire series. This improves ease of use by allowing users to remotely access the machine and check its operating status.
Mimaki has launched the CG-AR series of cutting plotters in addition to the 330 series. Available in three different sizes (CG-60AR, CG-100AR and CG-130AR), these plotters go beyond the entry-level models currently available. These cutters respond to customer demand for shorter lead times and offer increased speed and accuracy, all with user-friendly operation. In addition, the cutters can process various materials, such as PVC, fluorescent and reflective sheets.
The CG-AR series is also equipped with MRA, allowing remote operation. It also features Mimaki's ID Cut function for integrated print-and-cut operations when used with a Mimaki printer. This automatically retrieves cut data via barcode. The product range will be launched worldwide in April 2022."Following the positive reception of the 100 series with our customers, we noticed significant market demand in the graphics and textile sector for more cost-effective mid- to high-end technologies," said Arjen Evertse, General Manager Sales EMEA. "This is what drives our latest platform-independent technology, the 330 series. The new capabilities of this series are in line with our strategy to increase production efficiencies and streamline workflows, and cater to customers in various industries looking to improve quality and delivery times. We look forward to demonstrating these products to customers and prospects at FESPA 2022 in Berlin."
