Mimaki expands offerings of LED-UV flatbed inkjet printers

JFX600-2513

Mimaki Europe, the leading manufacturer of inkjet printers and cutting systems, launches a new LED-UV large format flatbed inkjet printer, the JFX600-2513 This printer offers high print speed and high productivity. With a wider choice of ink types and more flexibility in media types, they open the gateway for print service providers to a wider range of applications.

The JFX600-2513 continues the success of the JFX500-2131 large-format UV inkjet printer, which entered the market in 2012. This new model targets market for high-end UV flatbed printers and are equipped with significantly more print heads. This makes the JFX600-2513 as much as 300 percent faster. Color configuration has been expanded to six colors, up from the four colors offered by the JFX500-2131. With the wide choice of ink sets, users can print images in intense and vibrant colors for signage and display, indoors and outdoors.

In addition, thanks to Mimaki's seventh-generation UV printing technology, the new model supports more media, enabling many diverse applications such as large decorations, signage displays and interior materials. The JFX600-2513 prints on media with dimensions of up to 2.5 x 1.3 meters and a thickness of up to 6 cm. This makes it perfect for production of standard-sized signs. Because they can print directly on the substrate, various materials such as resin, wood, glass and metal are all possible. Also, both models can print "2.5D" with multiple layers, allowing textured embossing for high-value applications involving touch.

The UV inks that the JFX600-2513 works with were developed in-house and has obtained 'GREENGUARD Gold' certification. This means it meets strict chemical and environmental safety standards set by the independent testing organization UL. In addition, the new model supports Mimaki's 'MDL command,' allowing operators to control machines from external devices to determine ink levels and detect errors. It is also possible to control the position of the table and height of the media and manage processes for printing and pre- and post-press, media feeding and output gathering. This means that the JFX machine meets the requirements of Industry 4.0, allowing it to be integrated into an automated workflow.
