Michael Kenis of Eigenplectrum.nl has specialized in personalized printing and laser engraving of picks, batter plates, capos, guitar straps, drumsticks and many other music related items. In his workshop are 3 printers and the laser ready to process the orders, a staggering amount in types and sizes of plectrums and drumsticks are ready in sorting bins. Besides many private orders, also international artists know to find the way to the specialist in Terheijden; ask for the pictures on the wall of Kensington, AC/DC and Adele, among others, and the stories will come loose. Michael's service is characterized, among other things, by a huge selection of material and sizes of picks and a very fast production time.

For the personalization of (electric) guitars, which Michael has been working on for some time, cooperation has already been established with a guitar manufacturer, but the expertise for making and mounting the prints was still lacking. For this Dimix put together a workshop and together with Michael we tested extensively with foils, laminates, tools and the correct application and cutting techniques.

For Michael, it goes without saying that only the highest quality counts. "Purchasing a quality guitar is of course no small expense; if you also make something like that personal for someone, it has to be just perfect, to that I don't want to make any concessions. Because there are so many different foils and the preparation, wrapping, shaping and finishing has quite a few risks, I chose to get well informed. With this workshop that Dimix put together for me personally, I was able to see and especially feel where the specific points of attention lie. The Mactac JT 10700 WG-BFG wrap film in combination with matte or gloss laminate came out as a perfect match for me during this workshop. The printability is perfect, the film is easy to adhere due to the air channels and low initial adhesion, and the film is also extremely malleable and nice and thin. This allows me to develop further and I am sure I can offer a perfect product to my customers."
