Dimix Belux completes acquisition of Europlan BV

After a careful process, the deal is done. Last Tuesday, March 12, Dimix Belux signed the acquisition contract of Europlan BV from Lier. Dimix is developing strongly in the Waterbased Inkjet market and since the acquisition of Sihl Direct BV in 2019 also supplier of a huge wide range of media and inks for this specialized market. Strategically, this is a huge opportunity that fits within Dimix's diversification vision.

Lier-based Europlan was founded in 1965 by Mr. Jacobs Sr. and has always remained a family business. His son Philip Jacobs is the current CEO and will stay on for now to continue the company and eventually hand it over. With this long history, they have built a tremendously stable customer portfolio and brand awareness. Europlan is the market leader in the CAD GIS market for Belgium. As the exclusive distributor of HP PageWide XL printers in Belgium, Europlan has established a strong position thanks in part to their focus on service, knowledge and a personal approach. These values fit seamlessly with the core values of Dimix.

Europlan BV will continue to operate under their own name and retain the existing staff, while Dimix Belux will contribute to the further development in the field of logistics and marketing.

Lars Vreeke, owner of Dimix, explains, "There is still an enormous amount to be gained in Belgium in this specialized market, but also with the existing know-how even more opportunities are created in the Netherlands. We are therefore very pleased with this expansion and see it as another milestone in Dimix's steady growth curve in the Benelux."
