On what substrates is the Arlon DPF 8000 Ultra Tack suitable?
This film is designed for "hard-to-stick" surfaces, such as low surface tension (LSE) plastic panels, ABS plastics, rough brick, textured concrete and other difficult substrates. The Ultra Tack adhesive allows the film to adhere to surfaces where standard films loosen or provide insufficient adhesion. For optimal security, however, it is important that the substrate is carefully prepared: clean, dry and, if necessary, pre-treated (e.g., light sanding or flame treatment).
What application temperature is recommended for installation?
For good adhesion, the substrate remains clean and dry and the temperature should be above about 10 °C; optimum is said to be about 10-27 °C. Installation below 0 °C may cause adhesion problems; after installation, the film is suitable for temperatures from -54 °C to +107 °C, making it suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental applications.
What does "peel-adhesion" mean and what is the value for this film?
Peel-adhesion refers to the initial adhesion strength of the film to the substrate, measured according to a standard test method (PSTC-1). How long can the film remain outdoors?

Can this film be printed directly and with what ink types?
Yes - the foil is suitable for printing with solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV-curable inks. Please make sure that the ink has completely smeared and dried before mounting or laminating the film. Otherwise shrinkage or edge loosening may occur due to the strong adhesive and film construction.
What finish does the film have and what does it mean visually?
The film has a satin white finish (Satin White) with a gloss value of approximately 40-60 gloss units. This results in an elegant look with subtle reflection - suitable for signage applications where visual quality is important, without the sharp reflection of high gloss.
