RPO Rebema is investing in quality, knowledge and continuity with Arlon carwrap training, employee certification and the purchase of a new Mimaki JV200-160.
For more than fifty years, RPO Rebema has been active in the world of visibility and custom advertising. Based in Margraten, the company works on a wide range of projects: from car lettering and car wrapping to signage, facade advertising, illuminated advertising and interior applications. This broad approach suits how RPO Rebema presents itself: not a price fighter, but a partner that puts quality and personal service first and takes care of the entire process in-house, from design to installation.
What makes RPO Rebema strong is precisely this combination of specialties. The company is firmly rooted in automotive, but also derives great strength from projects at the other end of the spectrum. Frank Verheggen, business manager at RPO, explains, "That is the strength ... that you don't actually do just one thing." That spread ensures balance in the work and makes it possible to serve small clients as well as larger organizations and long-term projects.
Over the years, that broad base has not come about by accident. RPO Rebema has always adapted to changes in the market and to what customers need at the time. New applications, different material demands or shifting product groups are not waited for, but actively addressed. As Frank describes it, "We have always been busy trying to see what others are doing, what comes our way. "
At the same time, the company remains realistic in the choices it makes. Not everything has to be done itself, but what RPO Rebema does has to be good. That down-to-earth attitude is reflected in the way the team works, invests and looks to the future.
For wrap applications, RPO Rebema works with Arlon materials. In the interview it became clear that the choice for this was made mainly in practice. Not because something new has to be tried every time, but because reliability, processability and a constant end result are important in daily work.
Frank sums this up very directly: "You just have to have a good cast and Arlon's is just a very good film." For a company that deals daily with vehicles, signing and high-quality finishes, that really says it all. Materials not only have to be technically good, but above all they have to work pleasantly for the people on the floor.
This is precisely why it is important that RPO Rebema also invested in knowledge earlier this year. In February, six employees completed training and certification on the Arlon car wrapping products. The certificates were awarded during the interview visit; a nice moment, but above all a step that shows well how seriously the company takes quality and craftsmanship.
According to Frank, this investment makes sense: "We felt it was important to have our people certified, because they need to know how to work with it. Only then will you get the most out of your materials and deliver good work." New materials require proper handling, and therefore a team that knows what it's doing. That makes training valuable not only for the applicators themselves, but also for the quality of the end result and confidence towards customers.
This certification thus shows something essential about the way in which RPO Rebema works: quality does not just start with the delivery, but already with material selection, processing and training.
In addition to material and knowledge, technology also plays an important role in daily practice. That is why RPO Rebema recently chose Mimaki again, with the purchase of a new Mimaki JV200-160. For Frank, the reason was clear: "It is a machine that can make meters. "
That suits the type of work that comes in at RPO Rebema. Large productions sometimes need to be able to run through at once, without fuss and without unnecessary downtime. Frank says of this, "We have jobs so often that we have to run 35 meters overnight in one run." Then it's not about frills, but production reliability, capacity and a machine you can build on.
The investment in the JV200-160 thus fits seamlessly with the company's course: to continue to innovate where it really makes a difference for the practice.
Also in its cooperation with suppliers, RPO Rebema seeks above all clarity and reliability. Not only when purchasing a machine or material, but also afterwards. Service, accessibility and the ability to switch quickly make the difference.
Frank puts it very aptly: "It is nice to put such a machine here, but the service afterwards is much more important." That fits well with a production environment in which work has to go on and support has to be practical above all.
This preference for short lines also fits with the broader way in which RPO Rebema does business with Dimix. Personal contact still plays a major role. As Frank summarized at the end of the conversation, "It is always open, honest and sincere. "
For the coming years, the focus at RPO Rebema will be on healthy growth, further strengthening and rejuvenating the team and continuing to respond smartly to new developments. There is room for innovation, but always in a way that suits the company and the people who work there.
What remains intact is the foundation on which RPO Rebema has been building for years: craftsmanship, flexibility and the will to deliver quality. With investments in materials, training and a new printer, the company shows that continuity does not come about by itself, but is the result of conscious choices.
