Roots in the sign industry

Owner Freddy Oenema has his roots in the sign industry. After several years of working for a boss he got more and more the question from customers if he couldn't assemble the delivered light- and facade advertising. From there, he started a sole proprietorship in 2006 and began building from home. "There were a number of customers who went right along with me, so the first 3 months were quickly filled. That schedule has never been empty again!" says Freddy. After a few years, Freddy's wife Fokje also started in the business. Together they are now at the helm.

Making clear choices

Starting out in assembly, the services expanded more and more. They got a printer and a plotter and grew rapidly. After spending some time in a shed in a shared building, it was time to build their own building. In 2011 they moved in and to this day are still here. After a few tough years, they are now stronger than ever. "We have made clear choices in what jobs we do and don't take on," Freddy says. "Car lettering and illuminated advertising remain the core business." Meanwhile, the market is positive again, and they notice that: "2018 was a good year!"

Flexible and approachable


Fokje: "We are a flexible party, like to think along with the customer and help where we can. Because we keep asking questions, we often know exactly what the customer needs and can give good advice. What we hope our clients would say about us? That we are accessible and approachable. Everyone is welcome with us and every customer is treated equally. Nothing is too difficult!"

Brandfast

Fokje explains, "Over the years we have become very brand consistent. We mainly look at the quality of the product and are therefore critical." "Then if we have to put down a tenner more for a better product, we do it," Freddy adds. "Rather pay a little more and better results for our customer, than a cheap product with cheap results."

"We have two parties for all materials so we stay flexible. If one party can't deliver we always have a backup. If we want to use new material, we always order a few meters first to test. What sticks best? That way we know for sure that everything is right," Fokje says. "But we are very loyal to our brands, something really crazy has to happen for us to consider something else."


Cooperation with Dimix

"Since a year we have been working with Dimix as a supplier. We were referred to them by our old supplier of etch and application film. Dimix is, like us, a party where contact is easy and approachable. If we have questions about anything, they always come up with good and substantiated advice. This is how we started with etch film and application film, but one thing led to another. Through Dimix we found another textile film that we also used years ago, but then couldn't get anywhere else."
