Detailed product capabilities
The MonsterMount MM 05 is a transfer-adhesive film type: a transparent base film of approximately 50 microns thickness to which permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive was applied on both sides. The construction is as follows: film + adhesive on side A + adhesive on side B + liner on both sides (side A: siliconized cardboard ~140 g/m²; side B: siliconized LDPE film ~50 g/m²). This construction offers ease of assembly and safe removal of the liner before assembly.
The adhesive is characterized by an initial adhesion to steel of about 18 N/25 mm immediately after assembly and about 34 N/25 mm after one week, which converted means about 1.38 kg/cm. Dimensional stability is high: shrinkage is maximum about -0.5 % after 48 h at 70 °C (≈ -0.5 mm per 100 mm). The processing temperature already starts from about -10 °C; for optimal adhesion aim at ≥ 15 °C; the service temperature range is about -30 °C to +80 °C. The film is resistant to solvent vapors, lubricating oil, fuel residues and moisture, making it usable on substrates such as powder-coated steel, plywood, ABS plastics, glass, aluminum, polycarbonate or low-energy surfaces.

Processing & quality advice.
The following guidelines apply for optimal application:
- Ensure that both substrates (film or print material as well as the substrate) are clean, dry and grease-free. For lower temperature applications (< +15 °C) extra attention to moisture and condensation free substrate is relevant.
- Start by removing side A liner, put film/glue on substrate, roll firmly with squeegee; then remove side B liner, position the second part and roll.
- Avoid loading or mechanical loading until adhesion is fully built up (~72 hours at 20 °C).
- Pre-storage: roll in sealed container at about 15-25 °C and 50-60% RH; storage time up to 2 years.
- After installation: inspect edges and corners periodically, especially for applications exposed to stores or outdoor conditions.
- For low-energy or rough surfaces: prior adhesion test recommended.
